Botox (botulinum toxin) is an FDA-approved injection treatment used to reduce facial wrinkles and delay signs of aging. It is commonly applied to the forehead, between the eyebrows and around the eyes.
Botox effects generally last 3–6 months. After this period, the treatment can be repeated. Regular applications can reduce muscle activity, providing more lasting results over time.
The procedure is extremely brief and minimally uncomfortable. Fine needles are used, so patients usually feel only a slight pinch.
